- Abstract
The article describes a case study on offensive noise in New South Wales. It explores the issues associated with noise impact assessment in planning and enforcement, along with the different approaches to noise management. The factors that should be considered when developing legislation for environmental planning and noise assessment are discussed. The decision of the Land & Environment Court in a dispute between a resident and an adjacent private primary school in Sydney is also discussed.
