- Abstract
Objective: Rifampicin induced thrombocytopenia is very rare. This rare entity is discussed in a sputum positive pulmonary tuberculosis with PSS and ILD. Study design: Case report. MateriaI and Methods: Patient was evaluated with daily blood reports of platelet. ATDS was rechallenged with H, R, E. Results: When ATDs were rechallenged, there was drop of platelet after introducing R without any change after H & E introduction. Conclusion: Rifampicin induced thrombocytopenia though rare should be kept in mind to prevent fatal ATD induced thrombocytopenia.
