- Abstract
The article explores the evolution in executive equity pay practices and the equity compensation landscape. It discusses the extent of the evolution and the modern use of stock and option pay as a function of efficient contracting. It argues on the evolving use of stock and options as to provide important insights into contracting over executive pay. Moreover, an outlined analysis has been laid on the dramatic aggregate shift from options to restricted stocks.
