- Title
Where Is the Anterior Temporal Lobe and What Does It Do?
- Authors
Bonner, Michael F.; Price, Amy R.
- Abstract
The article focuses on anterior temporal lobe (ATL) and offers information on the functions of ATL. It discusses the role of ATL in semantic memory and its contribution to distinct modalities of semantic information. It mentions that semantic dementia, a neurodegenerative disease that affects ATL exhibits deficit in semantic knowledge. It highlights the functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) of ATL that analyzes the graded effect of the ventral temporal lobe.
