The article presents information on the need of reform in the tort law of the U.S. civil justice system. The debates between the interest groups, based on the economic theory and the financial interest in case of reducing or expanding the scope of the law are discussed. It mentions the collective action problems and its influence on the tort law. The interest group theory and public choice are also discussed.
