- Abstract
The article focuses on the use of eminent domain for economic development in U.S states with reference to court cases. Topics discussed include case Kelo v. City of New London, Connecticut and eminent domain reform, the Supreme Court of Missouri's decision in case State ex rel. Jackson v. Dolan that encouraged developers' ability to use eminent domain for economic development, and the positive and negative impacts of the Court's decision in Jackson property rights and the economy in Missouri.
