- Abstract
An interview with Dr. Stephanos Kyrkanides, professor and chairman of the Department of Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine in New York is presented. When asked how he become involved in the field of temporomandibular disorders (TMDs), he refers to the 2-year program in orthodontics that he completed. He states that TMDs is most prevalent in female patients during menarche and during the mid-30s. He also talks about orofacial pain.
