- Abstract
CLINICAL PICTURE Cannonballpulmonarymetastasesinrenalcell carcinoma A 53 year-old man with a past medical history of ischemic cardiomyopathy with ejection fraction of 32% presented to the emergency room with progressively worsening chest discomfort and dyspnea on exertion with decline in functional status for 2 weeks. A computed tomography (CT) scan of the chest confirmed the presence of innumerable pulmonary nodules and masses, concerning for metastatic cancer (Figure 1B). A CT-guide biopsy of one of the pulmonary nodules showed clear cell renal cell carcinoma (RCC).
