- Title
Crystal structures from the Plasmodium peroxiredoxins: new insights into oligomerization and product binding.
- Abstract
The article presents information on a study which examines the molecular aspects of the redox system in Plasmodium falciparum, a protozoan parasite and causative agent of malaria. In this study, four structures of Plasmodium peroxiredoxins (Prx) were characterized to get an insight into their oligomerization and product binding which may facilitate the targeting of their defense against antioxidants.
