- Abstract
The article presents a study on the incorporation of HIV-positive prisoners with volunteer life coaches for the maintenance of the U.S. prisoners' health-promoting behavior upon their release. It notes that the incorporation will require careful screening to help the inmates by associating them to HIV care. Study shows low risk in lifestyle and some peers observe the acceptability of unsafe sexual practices. It suggests volunteers to have careful training to be familiar with the institutional rules and dynamics.
