- Authors

- Abstract
The article discusses the link between naphthalene in mothballs and the risk of brain damage in infants. The authors cite three cases of kernicterus in infants with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency in Australia, one of which was associated with exposure to naphthalene in mothballs. They propose imposing a ban on mothballs that contain naphthalene in Australia.
