- Title
Marie Krysinska, Loïe Fuller, and Dynamogenic Eurhythmy.
- Authors
Braswell, Suzanne F.
- Abstract
The article discusses the application of eurhythmy in the presence of dance in Marie Krysinka's creation of free verse poems and the influence of the dancer Loie Fuller in creating aesthetic ideals of eurhythmy and dynamism in poems. It states that Krysinkska's attraction to dance as a source of poetic renewal aligns her with the avant-grade of fin-de-siecle poets. Additionally, her contact with Fuller's performances and techniques has inspired both the representation an experience of movement and the poetric states of consciousness engendered by dynamogenic eurhythmy in free verse.
