Acceptable Use of Calcium Chloride in Concrete.
Abstract
The article offers information on the acceptable use of calcium chloride in concrete in the U.S. It states that calcium chloride has been allowed in the ACI 318-08 "Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete" as an accelerating admixture for cast-in-place concrete. It emphasizes that the maximum water-soluble chloride ion content permitted by the ACI 318 in reinforced concrete is one percent and 0.06% for prestressed concrete.
