- Abstract
The article analyzes a passage from book 1, lines 10-16 of John Milton's epic poem "Paradise Lost," identifying its references to the Biblical locations of Shiloh, Shallun, and Siloam. Topics addressed include Geneva Bible quotations illustrating the context of each location, discussion of their thematic and symbolic meaning within the Milton passage, and explanation of the three locations being historically confused with each other.
