- Abstract
An essay is presented on the literary work of theology professor William T. Cavanaugh in which explores the interconnectedness of Eucharist and politics through the work of Catholic priest Henri de Lubac. It examines the relevance of the professor's work for Africa. It explores how the kind of Eucharistic theology and praxis that Cavanaugh emphasizes in his article can help in addressing a major and continuing social challenge in the region, specifically tribalism.
