- Authors
Richmond, Scott C.
- Abstract
An essay is presented on the most pressing issues faced by film scholars in the U.S. It highlights several films such as "Spider Man," directed by Sam Raimi, "Wanted," directed by Timur Bekmambetov, and "Quantum of Solace," directed by Marc Forster, which are focused on the masculinity and deals exclusively with White straight men. It also outlines how such films show the drama of self-adjustment, which is inseparable from the formal work of manifesting a world onscreen.
