The article updates previously published information regarding contamination of Vapotherm 2000i respiratory gas humidifiers from Vapotherm Inc. with Ralstonia species. Vapotherm Inc. took corrective measures and reintroduced the device in January 2007, after meeting the 510(k) submission requirements of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
