- Abstract
The article presents partial results of a study oriented to investigate the promotion of creative capacity from teaching practices in an institution of higher education. The conceptions of teachers on the articulation of creativity in their teaching practices are addressed, starting from the investigation of previous categories such as teaching purposes, conception about the creative student, conception of the creative teacher, creative teaching, creative learning. A qualitative design was used, with a semi-structured interview, the sample was composed by 10 teachers from different programs. The results show a general tendency in the teachers interviewed to show little personal responsibility for the promotion of creativity in their teaching practices, assigning this responsibility to the students themselves and to the education system. Although they positively value creativity and its contribution to the student's learning and training process, their concrete teaching practices are still a long way from actually implementing these assessments.
