An interview with poet and artist Roy Miki is presented. When asked about when did he start looking at internment photos more critically, he refers to the photos that he saw in the national archives in Ottawa, Ontario in 1984. He discusses the relationship between speechless or mute bodies and displacement condition in his artworks. He explains the meaning of the image in his poem "September 22."
