- Title
Does Health Insurance Matter? Health beyond Universal Coverage.
- Authors
Gorin, Stephen H.
- Abstract
In this article, the author discusses the impact of expanded health insurance coverage in the United States and whether it matters to the mortality rate. Megan McArdle cited the research work of Richard Kronick when stating that there is little evidence that the extension of coverage to all adults would have any effect on the number of U.S. deaths. The author also believes that such health care coverage could help to relieve the anxiety associated with life in highly stratified U.S. society.
