- Title
Discussion of “Gumbel-Hougaard Copula for Trivariate Rainfall Frequency Analysis” by L. Zhang and Vijay P. Singh.
- Authors
Chowdhary, H.
- Abstract
The article presents a study on the application of Gumbel-Hougaard copula for trivariate rainfall frequency analysis. It mentions that the method involves the three rainfall variables; storm depth, duration and mean intensity of the annual largest rainfall events. Selection of the storm events is also given consideration in the study. The author declares that the frequency analysis used in the study is specifically applicable to the bivariate characteristics of depth and duration or mean intensity and duration of the depth-wise annual maximum storms rather than for any storms in general.
