- Title
COLOR IN HOUSE-TREE-PERSON DRAWINGS BY COLLEGE MEN AND WOMEN.
- Authors
Marzolf, Stanley S.; Kirchner, John H.
- Abstract
The article reflects on the color in House-Tree-Person drawings by college men and women. It presents a study which tests the hypotheses that drawing in color makes a difference in the consistency with which characteristics will appear; differences in consistency are related to measured personality traits; the effect of drawing in color will be greater for some characteristics than for others; and there are sex differences in the effect of drawing in color. Color has been considered a factor in personality assessment, notably in the Rorschach, the House-Tree-Person, and the Luscher Color Test.
