- Abstract
The deformational strip heating effect on softening of high-strength HC260LA and HC300LA steels at cold rolling was experimentally studied. The results obtained were analyzed and mathematical simulation of the modes of strips cold rolling was carried out. A generalized hardening equation was derived on the ground of the Tretyakov's equation. Its application lead to results, whose analysis provided recommendations referring to the initial set-up of the continuous 5-stand cold rolling mill 2030 at PCS. Their realization resulted in expansion of the mill's grade gauge and increase of the rolled stock quality due to the reduction of cold rolling surface defects.
