- Title
COVENANTAL WORSHIP: RECONSIDERING THE CRITICS.
- Authors
Gore Jr., R. J.
- Abstract
The article addresses the main objections of critic T. David Gordon to concepts introduced in the book "Covenantal Worship: Reconsidering the Puritan Regulative Principle." The Puritan regulative principle of worship embraces both a particular understanding of elements and a particular understanding of circumstances. It compares the reviewer's assessment of synagogue worship in the book of Leviticus 23:3 in the Old Testament with George Gillespie. It refutes the charge of the reviewer that the author infers the principles of theologian John Calvin from Calvin's practice.
