- Abstract
The article offers political information for Great Britain in 1995. An overview of the condition of its national politics is given, including the outcome of the local and European elections and the changes in the composition of Prime Minister John Major's cabinet. It also explores several issues regarding the nation's foreign policy, including the legislation to replace the two-tier local authority system in Scotland, the proposed changes in the structures of English local government by the Local Government Commission, and the divisions among Conservative legislators over the role of the country in the European Union. Several charts that depict the country's political data are provided.
