- Abstract
A humidity-temperature measurement system for body-seat interface was introduced in this paper, which includes three temperature-humidity (AM2301) sensors, a microcontroller, one LCD display and an SD card used as data storage for offline data analysis. Before carrying out the experiments, the AM2301 sensors were assessed in the performance of output consistency. Test data showed, the sensors performed consistently with temperature standard deviation ±0.3°C and humidity standard deviation ±0.5%, which indicates that these types of sensor have consistent output characteristics. Five volunteers took part in the temperature and humidity measurement experiment on the body-seat interface. Each experiment lasted one hour. Analysis of the measured data showed the five volunteers illustrate that there are no difference for temperature outcomes at the three different measuring locations. However, humidity data have significant difference at different testing points.
