The article focuses on Bernstein & Byres Prize in Agrarian Change from "Journal of Agrarian Change" (JAC). It states that the award was named after JAC's founding editors, and aims to encourage works on agrarian political economy. It says the criteria for the award including the works of political economy, originality, and quality of evidence. It adds that in 2009, the article "The Vanishing Free Market: The Formation and Spread of the British and US Food Regimes" by Bill Winders won the award.
