World Economy.
- Abstract
The article presents an overview of the world's economic condition for the period 2007 to 2008. The U.S. 10-year Treasury has increased to 5.25% at one point, up from 4.6% at the beginning of March 2007, while German Bunds are above 4.6%, which is up from 3.9% in early March. It is expected that the price of oil will increase at $68 per barrel instead of $60 per barrel due to a strong economic showing by China. After a 1.1% rise in the fourth quarter of 2006, Japan's private consumption has increased by 0.8% in the first quarter of 2007. Investment in Europe is expected to rise by 6.1% in 2007 as a whole, up from 5.1% in 2006.
