- Abstract
The article explores the responses of the Catholic Church to Nazi Germany and treatment of Catholics under the rule of dictator Adolf Hitler. The author reflects on the anti-Jewish laws, the banning of Catholics from Nazi party membership, and the intervention of Pope Pius XI. Other topics include letters from lay Catholics to the Pope, the boycotting of Jewish stores and businesses, and anti-Semitism in the Catholic Church.
