- Abstract
The article focuses on the limits of attorney's fees in civil rights and discrimination cases. It relates on the exceptions in the American Rule under section 1988 of the Civil Rights Attorney's Fees Awards Act of 1976 and section 706(k) of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. It mentions that a prevailing party or plaintiff can recover the attorney's fees from defendant unless the plaintiff's action was found unreasonable by the court.
