- Abstract
After the disproportionate wide-spread of broad-leaved docks (Rumex obtusifolius) on the agricultural land in the Czech Republic, which started in the 60's years of the 20th century, one can observe significant retreat of these weeds during last decade. The main causes of the retreat of broad-leaved dock from arable land were decreased areas of perennial fodder crops, better purity of fodder crop seeds and lower occurrence of the docks in the surrounding of the fields. The monophagous beetle Apion miniatum successfully controlled the broadleaved docks in perennial grassland - meadows, pastures and also ditches and neighboring fields
