Title
ASH WEDNESDAY.
Abstract
The article offers information related to Ash Wednesday. It says that the Liturgy of Ash Wednesday uses ashes as a survival from Roman rite with which sinners submit themselves to canonical penance. It cites that receiving ashes symbolizes mortality, fragility, and the need for redemption by God's mercy. Moreover, Christian faithfuls who infrequently attend the Penance and Holy Eucharist sacraments must be aware of confessing sins and receiving Holy Communion during lenten season or Eastertide.
