The article presents a speech by John Churchill, chief executive officer of the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society, delivered at 126th Juniata College Commencement, at the Juniata College, in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, on May 9, 2004, in which he discussed education in the liberal arts and sciences, education of the king of Macedon, Alexander, and discouraging case of Alexander.
