- Abstract
The article discusses a study which evaluated the efficacy and safety of technosphere insulin (TI) with subcutaneous regular human insulin (RHI) in covering the prandial insulin needs of subjects with type 2 diabetes. Treatment comparisons were conducted with the use of the Sign test for postprandial blood glucose excursion and insulin concentration. The serum insulin concentration of the subjects increased rapidly within the initial 5 minutes following inhalation of TI and peaked at 15 minutes and declined thereafter.
