- Abstract
We condueted seedlings (height Vim) and saplings (height Ml called diameter at breast height <5 cm) of 20 gaps in the North China larch plantation in Guandi Mountain were investigated, and the grades of 4 area gaps (<60m², 60-120 m² J20-180 & 180m²) the regeneration density of larch seedlings and saplings degree, growth index and spatial distribution. The results show that: in gaps with different areas, the growth index (base diameter, height) and seedling regeneration density of seedlings and saplings are the best in small gaps (14-60m²), and the regeneration density of saplings is the best. It was the largest in middle gaps (60-120m²), and the density of saplings was greater than that of seedlings in gaps of the same level. Larix larch seedlings and saplings regenerate well in small and medium gaps, while large gaps (120-180 cm) and extra-large gaps are not conducive to the regeneration of Larix larix. Larix larch seedlings and saplings are mainly distributed in the canopy projection area and the edge of the canopy gap area. By artificial disturbance means such as replanting or thinning, gap area is controlled at 14~120mm, which can promote the regeneration of North China larch.
