- Abstract
The article looks at the music created by rap and rhythm and blues (R&B) producers including Timbaland and Pharrell Williams in the perspective of Paul Virilio's concept of telepresence and Paul Gilroy's notion of biopolitics. It states that the study aims to understand the evolution process of their works and how they came to construct sonic space. It suggests that the music of these two producers serves as a powerful idea into the nature of political and social relation in the 21st century.
