- Abstract
The article presents a study which synthesized, characterized and examined the application of composite alginate microspheres with magnetic and fluorescence flunctionalities. It enumerated the factors which play key roles in the synthesis of microspheres. It concluded that the composite alginate microspheres demonstrate good superparamagnetism and fluorescence, which can be used both as magnetic resonance contrast agents and optical probes for biological imaging.
