- Abstract
The article presents a study on nonequilibrium nanoblend membranes for the pervaporation of benzene/cyclohexane compounds. For the study, researchers controlled the evaporation rate relative to the phase separation rate in order to generate various morphologies. They found that the membrane flux increased as the amount of nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) in the ternary blend declined. They also observed that the blended compounds showed no deformation after 48 hours at the operating temperature.
