- Abstract
Discipline in working is very important for achieving performance expected by every company, including for PT Jumbo Power International. This study aims to determine the effect of reward and punishment on employee performance through work discipline as an intervening variable. This research was conducted at PT Jumbo Power International with a total of 78 respondents. Data analysis using quantitative methods SEM-PLS with Smart PLS 4.0 software. Based on the test results and data analysis in this study, it was found that 1) reward has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, 2) punishment does not have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, 3) work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, 4) reward does not have a positive and significant effect on work discipline, 5) punishment has a positive and significant effect on work discipline, 6) work discipline cannot mediate rewards for employee performance, 7) work discipline can mediate punishment for employee performance.
