Klassisch-ägyptische Texte in späthieratischem Gewande: Zwischen Kontinuität und Innovation.
- Authors
Quack, Joachim Friedrich
- Abstract
The article "Classical Egyptian Texts in Late Hieratic Garb: Between Continuity and Innovation" by Joachim Friedrich Quack discusses various features of classical Egyptian texts in late hieratic script. It is shown that orthographic innovations overshadow the grammatical structure. Special attention is given to particles, where the "#" sign represents an unusual orthography for the particle "gr. t". It is discussed whether the texts are copies of older works or new compositions deliberately using an older form of language. The text also addresses the use of the particles "#" and "sk" or "sç" and discusses possible alternative meanings. Various examples from texts and manuscripts are cited to support this argumentation.
