An essay is presented exploring the alternative views of e-marriage from the perspective of the state and the couples who are sensitive to the impact of their marriage choices. On one hand, it considers economic benefits of "Emarriage.com" and on the other hand, the economic value of marriage law innovation. It assumes that couples would desire e-marriage and this demand could turn upon the mix of motivations driving couples to get married.
