- Authors

- Abstract
The article focuses on the historical archaeology of Kerr Mount, an early 19th century Bahamian plantation on San Salvador Island, the Bahamas. The plantation was established by a land grant of 300 acres given to American loyalist William Kerr in 1813. The plantation was bought by Charles Farquharson in 1831 and was added to his neighboring holdings at Prospect Hill Plantation. The diary of Farquharson provides historical insights into his farm management and his use of slaves. Archaeological excavation begun in 2006 under the direction of archaeologist John Winter at Kerr Mount are detailed.
