The article focuses on the law, bioethics and the medical futility with the scope of the patients' right for the refusal of the medical treatment to prolong his life. Topics discussed include law of end of life decision making has made related developments in medical intervention, concern of health care providers regarding the legal implications of withdrawing treatment and legislative efforts to resolve futility disputes between physicians and their patients.
