- Title
Software simulates reporter's choices for interviews.
- Authors
Oates, William R.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the importance of computer simulation technology in journalism. Computer simulation can be used for getting information for a news story by interviewing various sources. The article also reports on a new product called, "Super Scoop," which is appropriate for college reporting students and for professional workshops. Journalism students are supposed to take notes during the simulated interviews and to write a news story afterward. Character codes at the end of the program let the teacher know what information a student gathered.
