- Authors
Bencie, Luke
- Abstract
In this article, the author reflects on the means of industrial and economic espionage. According to him, people going for international business deals go for hotel accommodations which are the enemy's gateway to the industrial and economic espionage. He talks about economic competitors, hostile foreign intelligence services and speculators which may look for the hacking of an individual's or a company's sensitive and top secret information. He also states that these enemies can either intrude into an individual's hotel room or take support of electronic surveillance of hotel rooms. According to the U.S. Office of the National Counterintelligence Executive, the citizens of the country traveling abroad are the main target of foreign intelligence collection activities.
