- Abstract
Introduction. School coexistence as an important point in the quality between interactions is one of the most important constructs in the analysis of human behavior within the educational field (Cerda et al., 2019; Larios-Gómez, 2021). To measure this construct, the School Coexistence Scale in Secondary Education was designed and validated. Method. The sample consisted of 641 students from northwestern Mexico (48% men, 52% women, M age=12.94 years). To review its psychometric properties, a confirmatory factorial analysis, convergent validity, content validity, as well as internal consistency were obtained. Results. The results of the confirmatory analysis showed a factorial structure similar to the originally designed 15-factor structure, in addition to acceptable internal consistency indexes. Discussion and Conclusions. Based on these results, a valid instrument is proposed to measure school coexistence in high school students, easy to understand and quick to respond to.
