- Abstract
The article reports on a study by Yoshinori Tanaka on the potential of photonic crystal resonators to change its properties dynamically for a complete control of light. Photonic crystals depict an environment where light is scattered periodically as the latter propagates inside them. The study involves ultrafast control of such properties, which include negative refraction of light, by analyzing the behavior of the system through the quality factor (Q-factor) of the structure.
