- Abstract
This article presents information on PARV4, a member of the Parvovirus family first reported in 2005. It is characterised by small, non-enveloped, single-stranded DNA viruses, with an icosahedral capsid. It is one of the only four groups of parvovirus known to infect humans. The origin of PARV4 in humans, its transmission and clinical symptoms, as well as the diagnosis of a PARV4 infection are discussed.
