- Abstract
The article focuses on a study conducted by Dov Sax of Brown University, published in the periodical "Global Ecology and Biogeography" on origination of invasive species from regions with higher phylogenetic diversity. Topics discussed include evolution of highly adapted competitors due to factors like stable habitats, introduction of such species into similar habitats in less diverse region outcompete native species, utilization of resources by the species causing higher biomass production.
