Objective:To explore the correlation among self ⁃ efficacy, sense of self ⁃ worth, and social adaption in urban young retired elderly. Methods:The General Self Efficacy Scale(GSES), the Self⁃worth Scale for the elderly, and the Social adaption Rating Scale for the elderly were used to investigate 689 young retired elderly in urban communities. Results:The GSES score of urban young retired elderly was(23. 36±5. 37)points, the self⁃worth score was(77. 38±13. 69)points, and the social adaption score was(84. 27±12. 03) points. Self⁃efficacy played a mediating effect between self⁃worth and social adaption, which accounted for 19. 9% of the total effect;self⁃ efficacy played a moderating effect between self ⁃ worth and social adaption(β =0. 147, ΔR2=0. 021, P<0. 001). Conclusions:Urban young retired elderly had poor social adaptability. Self ⁃ efficacy played a mediating and regulating effect between self ⁃ worth and social adaption. Encouraging the young retired elderly to improve self ⁃ efficacy and actively recognize self ⁃ worth could benefit to improve their social adaption.
